Billionaire Tom Steyer just epically trolled Trump with hilarious book stunt

- Januari 05, 2018

Billionaire hedge fund manager-slash-Democratic mega donor Tom Steyer found a new way to put his money where his mouth is.

The potential California governor candidate personally purchased 535 copies of Michael Wolff’s salacious Trump tell-all “Fire and Fury,” one for each member of congress.

He told California radio station KQED that he planned to hand deliver a copy to each member of congress himself.

As if the title “billionaire democratic donor” didn’t do it already, the move puts Steyer directly at odds with the President. Trump came out against Wolff and the book, going so far as to threaten legal action to stop the book’s publishing.

Wolff’s book has taken D.C. and the rest of the world by storm with damning revelations from a year spent observing the Trump administration first hand. It draws heavily from interviews with former Trump confidante Steve Bannon.

Some of the most controversial parts quoted an interview with Bannon where he describes a 2016 Trump Tower meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and Russian nationals as “treasonous” and “unpatriotic.”

It also reports that many, if not all those working inside the Trump White House consider their boss to be completely incompetent and utterly incapable of doing the job of president. The book describes aides describing Trump as “like a child.” It also quotes various supposed Trump allies as calling him everything from a “total fool,” to a “fucking idiot.”

Trump did not like all the negative press and has spent the past few days denouncing everything to do with the book, including its author, the way in which the information was gathered, his former consigliere Steve Bannon, publishing, reading, and so on.

Tom Steyer’s move will no doubt infuriate the President, since it will only serve to drive up book sales and keep bad mouthing the President on the lips of everyone in Congress.
