Trump just threw a bizarre Twitter fit about having to end the government shutdown

- Februari 09, 2018

President Trump took to Twitter this morning to complain about having to sign a budget bill that increases domestic spending even though he took no part in the negotiations and he got the outrageous boost to military spending that he wanted in the first place.

In a staggering show of disingenuous complaining, the President vented about being “forced” to increase domestic spending by Democrats when his whole party controls all three brands of government – and it was a Republican, Rand Paul of Kentucky, who shut down the government for a few hours this morning over his complaints that we were spending any money at all.

The bills raise the budget caps that the Republicans themselves had set in 2013 when they shut down the government over concerns about the “deficit” – which they just ballooned with their $1.5 trillion tax cut and handouts to the wealthy bill

This budget bill gives the Pentagon and the military-industrial complex another $165 billion dollars, and only $131 billion for literally everything else the government does – but it’s nice to know that things like infrastructure ($10 billion), child care ($2.9 billion), and fighting the opioid epidemic ($3 billion) are considered to be “waste” by the president of the United States.

A budget is a moral document, and this one is as reprehensible as any we’ve passed in a long time. The Democrats have discarded the one piece of leverage they had to force the party of white supremacists to not deport the 800,000 DREAMERs; the ghouls who sit on the shareholder boards at Raytheon and Northop-Grumman rub their fat hands together in anticipation while budgetary crumbs are tossed to the American people who need the most help.

Of course, a man who has spent hundreds of millions of dollars flying to his golf courses and on golf carts for the Secret Service has no room to stand on when it comes to complaining about “government waste.”
